Top Gun

F14 Tomcat

Leaving the white sands of Santa Rosa Island (Fort Pickens), heading to New Orleans, we couldn't avoid a stop at the Pensacola National Naval Aviation Museum... remember TOP GUN, Tom Cruise...

A great and free museum, with loads of planes, plenty history around naval aviation  starting with the amazing story of USS Enterprise CV-6; the most decorated ship of WWII (and actually of all times).

Not the CV-6, one of the more latest Nimitz carrier in motion

You can sit in a cockpit, walk down a street of Pensacola in the 40th (visit a shop or a house back then), step on an aircraft carrier an experience the various ships quarters...

The kids just loved it, and we wish we had a bit more time to go through more detailed history...

...

Love the mustang (bottom right).

 The heavy carriers

The Blue Anges
Equivalent to the Patrouille De France

Kids were invited to the white house on the President's personal helicopter!!!

Walk down a street in the 40th and step into shops, houses...

Enjoy the planes take-off and land form the beach....

THE END

Ain't we proud of our CATMobile!
