The original idea was to spend a few days in town and then rent a car to see the surroundings; Napa Valley, Montgomery, Yosemite Park, Lake Tahoe... But that was before knowing San Francisco!
Finally we ended-up spending the two weeks in town, without a single day spare. Thanks to the great 'Cartoville' city guide we received as a present before our departure, we organized our sight seeing quarter by quarter usually heading-off by bus and walking our way home.
The first few days were rainy but the last week was gorgeous! Here is our best-off!
- From Pacific Heights (start at corner of Geary / Fillmore) to Nob Hill (finish at Union Square)
Grace Cathedral
- From Alamo Square to Golden Gate Park, trough Haight / Ashbury
The Painted Ladies
Japanese Tea Garden / Golden Gate Park
- North Beach to Fisherman's Wharf
Saints Peter and Paul Church
View from Coit Tower
The Ferry Building
The Fisherman's Wharf
- Bike ride from Fisherman's wharf to Sausalito / Alcatraz
Alcatraz
- Chinatown
The kids school when we come back :-)
- RICHMOND, our neighborhood
Geary / 26th Avenue
Cliff Hill
Ocean Beach / Cliff House / China Beach
Bonne année et bon voyage !
